OUR MISSION
Since 2007, CCHI’s mission has been to improve the health and well-being of California children and families by supporting our members in meeting the needs of their communities.
CCHI works with community-based organizations (CBOs) in California that support their communities by providing Outreach, Enrollment, Retention, and Utilization (OERU) services and assisting individuals with navigation of their health coverage.
As a statewide association, CCHI mobilizes stakeholders and community partners to leverage the expertise, capacity, and knowledge of every concerned voice, making recent health care reforms a continued reality for all Californians.
CCHI is widely recognized as a leader in health advocacy for children and families and continues to advocate for California’s most vulnerable populations, prioritizing access, enrollment, and retention in health coverage.

CCHI’s Membership is comprised of 30 nonprofit and government organizations who represent over 600 local partners that enroll people into subsidized health insurance, navigate their health care, and help them maintain their coverage and access to care.

HEALTH ACCESS ASSISTERS
Become a Health Access Assister and get access to our comprehensive training program!
CCHI’s Health Access Assister’s curriculum addresses Outreach, Enrollment, Retention, and Utilization to meet the needs of communities across California.
Provides Health Access Assisters (HAA) with the knowledge they need to help families and individuals get enrolled in healthcare, navigate and utilize the healthcare system.
Includes extensive information regarding Medi-Cal and Medi-Cal eligibility rules so that assisters are prepared to help the many individuals and families for whom Medi-Cal is the appropriate option for health coverage.
Allows HAAs to share best practices and challenges faced in their day-to-day enrollment processes and community outreach.
